Linings and Tapes are extremely important to any curtains, as they both affect how your curtians will hang, if the curtains are light weight and you might wish to wash them as you have a washable face fabric then you might choose the polycotton fabric as it is light and washable. For dry clean only and heavier curtains a cotton sateen gives more weight and structure to the curtains.
For those drafty windows and early morning sun, choose from blackout which does what the label sayd and blocks out the light, but also keeps the cold out as it has a sealed weave, if light cannot get through then neither can the draft. Although the ultimate in keeping the cold out and acheiving sumptuous elegance is to interline the curtains, which is called a bump and is like a thin blanket inside the curtains. Also ideal when using thin or silk fabrics as it will give them a lush look.
Curtain tapes are basic with 3 cords and 3 cord pockets, to 3 cords and 3 woven pockets for heavier curtains, and woven multi pocket (6) for floor length curtains to given more movement of drop on the curtain. If you just want a simple ruffle heading then use the 1" tape.
